About Fertility Today Magazine

"Fertility Today Magazine" was founded by a practicing American Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist/Infertility Specialist, Dr. Diana Broomfield. As a leading expert in Reproductive Medicine, Dr. Broomfield recognized a largely unmet need in the mass media - the absence of a comprehensive and well respected publication devoted strictly to the many individuals dealing with issues of infertility. She combined her entrepreneurial spirit, passion for medicine and drive to excel to establish this venture.

Fertility Today is the nation's first comprehensive, multidisciplinary fertility magazine that is written primarily by American Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologists, and other reproductive professionals for the general public! The concept for Fertility Today Magazine was first developed in 1998 and the magazine was incorporated in May 2004. The magazine's inaugural issue will be published in March 2005 as a bimonthly publication to disseminate expert medical and legal knowledge in the area of fertility to the general public as a means of education. We look not only at the medical and legal, but the spiritual, emotional and physical aspects of this condition and offer expert opinions and or interpretations of the current medical literature.

Fertility Today magazine was launched to provide the comprehensive resource for millions of reproductive age couples and individuals who struggle with the various facets of fertility and infertility. After her internship, Dr. Broomfield joined the United States Air Force where she practiced basic infertility (and general medicine), during which time Dr. Broomfield developed a love and devotion for patient's suffering from this devastating disease.

After completing her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University, Dr. Broomfield attended the University of Pennsylvania where she successfully completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Broomfield brings to the magazine an esteemed education, and research background. She has been dedicated to treating infertility patients for over 10 years. In addition she has gathered the foremost experts in the field to contribute to the magazine.

Dr. Broomfield is married to Dr. Darius Lecointe (a psychometric statistician and lawyer). They have three lovely children.

Our mission is to become the place where readers can find the most comprehensive and up to date information on all aspects of fertility and infertility, thus enlightening the public and promoting educational excellence among our readers. We also seek to offer hope and comfort to our audience, through our bimonthly" My Story" and psychology sections of the magazine. These are stories of others who have gone through similar experiences and are continuing to cope with issues of fertility and or adoption
Our goal is to serve as the principal expert resource to women and men in areas of reproductive health and fertility. This goal will be realized through the dissemination of expert opinion based upon current standards of care and evidence-based practice of medicine regarding issues of reproductive health, reproductive psychology, ethics, and law.
